"ANOTHER set of classy instrumental music from the Scottish Guitar Quartet, although it may prove too highly polished for some tastes. Ged Brockie, Malcolm MacFarlane, Kevin MacKenzie and Nigel Clark are all gifted soloists, and all four provide compositions. The music is often pictorial or impressionistic in nature, and they blend together a range of styles and idioms rather than settling on any single genre. The mixture of acoustic guitars, Frank Krocker’s futuristic Frameworks guitars and restrained use of the Roland VG88 synthesizer all help to add variety to the otherwise rather homogenous sound palette."
